quick update

Mimmy and Croaker (Andy's mom and stepdad) flew up last week to surprise Riley for his birthday. The boys stayed with them at a local hotel for several nights so they could take full advantage of pool time and eating out. Of course, we put Croaker to work with some of our "to do" list. The biggest news is he fixed our dishwasher! He took it apart and bent a lot of metal, but got the hinges working properly. I'm so thankful! He also got our Expedition and RV running - we've had only one vehicle for the past month. We decided to trade them both in while we could drive them on to the lot. After test driving six or seven vehicles our choice was narrowed down to a '96 Ford F250 or a '98 Buick Park Avenue. This was determined solely by the test drive and what we could get for our trade-ins. We told the salesman our picks and waited to see what they would give us. Andy is thrilled to drive his F250 around! It seats six, has a big rack over the bed and is four-wheel drive - much more manly than the Park Avenue. I'm just happy we have a working, reliable second vehicle again.
