Conversation With C

While driving a few weeks ago Conner and I had the following conversation:

C: Do you know what happened in 1820?

Me: Yes, it was about Henry Clay.

C: You're right! In 1820 Henry Clay worked out the Missouri compromise allowing Missouri to enter the Union as a slave state and Maine as a free state. Do you think that's why they named it Missouri? Because they had slaves in misery and Missouri sounds like that?
