Fun with Friends

Some good friends from Eugene got to visit this week. We had a wonderful time together, eating, talking, playing, and seeing some sights around Denver. The nine of us made some beautiful cookies, to include not only the traditional Christmas figures, but Paul made a rooster out of the Santa cutout. Nancy and I took the kids to the Denver Mint (our favorite tour we've found so far) and up into the capitol dome. Then returned home so they could all just play. Emma was a very good sport with all the boys.

Yesterday we headed to the mountains to find some snow since it is all melting in town here. We stopped at Berthoud pass to play a little on the Continental Divide at 11,000 feet, but there was no sledding allowed so we continued over the pass to Winter Park and found a good sledding hill. We even got a bonus 'chairlift' ride. The trip wouldn't be complete without a stop at Beau Jo's for some pizza too.
