Happy 39th!

Andy turned 39 on the 28th! We picked him from work for lunch (however, I forgot the small detail of actually bringing him lunch) and took him to REI to pick out a new mountain bike. His bike of the past 17 years has some major issues and was going to be several hundred dollars to fix so we figured we could upgrade him quite nicely for not too much more than the fix-it costs. There has been almost 20 years of development since his last bike purchase, so almost anything out there is better than what he's had. Of course, it's still two wheels, a seat and some handlebars, just the materials and components have changed.
We got him back to work to finish his day while the boys and I returned home to accidentally make the wrong kind of cake - still tasted good, though. He wanted dinner and a movie so, we cooked his requested dinner of halibut, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes and then sat down to watch The Lightening Thief. It wasn't the best of movies and not quite appropriate for the boys, but we enjoyed it nonetheless and Conner claims he didn't understand any of the inappropriate stuff.

We are thankful Andy/Daddy was born 39 years ago. He's a great guy who works hard to take care of us and knows how to have fun along the way. We love you!
