Our youngest hit the double digits in September when he turned 10. Before I know it they will ALL be teenagers. Conner has definitely grown up faster than the other two as he continually tries to keep up with them and gets so frustrated with himself when he can’t. He’s an awesome young man. I can usually count on him to get himself up and going each morning, finish his chores and begin his schoolwork, all without a word from me. He’s all about getting on to play time, but he knows he has some things he needs to accomplish before that happens. We’re still working on quality with all his work, but it sure is nice that he doesn’t need to be asked in the first place. He has a sweet heart and cares about those around him. He also still likes to sit on my lap when he gets tired. I’m so thankful for that.
Conner loves family time. He really had to debate whether or not he wanted friends over for his birthday, instead of just spending it with the five of us. In the end he invited two friends over for a movie marathon of all the Avengers movies. They watched each individual superhero movie (The Hulk, Captain America, Ironman, and Thor), then went to the theater and saw The Avengers. It was a good boy time.
Our 10 year old
His much desired Ripstik. He's quite a pro on it and is trying to teach me.
Grandpa and Grammy came up for his requested birthday dinner of homemade pizzas
Showing Grammy how to make the pizza
We also made Conner's favorite drink: Devil's Drenchers, out of his Roald Dahl cookbook
HI favorite birthday cake: yellow cake layered with chocolate chip mint ice cream, hot fudge, and Oreo crumbles, then topped with Oreos, or this year, we had Girl Scout Thin Mints
