2008

The first day of 2008. The first year without Treelan in it. We had a memorial for him yesterday on a boat in the Pacific, where his ashes were spread. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful gathering to remember him. His 8 year old daughter sang Amazing Grace which was heart wrenching. The weight of the grief is so painful, but we still must go through each day.

The kid that stabbed him has been arrested. Unfortunately, he's just a 17 year old kid who's made some stupid choices which have not only devasted our lives, but also his and his family's. His dad went with him when he turned himself in.
