A few weeks ago we went to the alpine slide in Golden and had great time. Tegan and Riley got to ride alone and really got the hang of it on their second ride down. Andy got to ride the fast track and really flew down. Conner had to ride with an adult so he and I had a silent war of strength on both rides. He continuously wanted to pull the handle back to slow down and I wanted to push it forward to speed up just a little more. We both had our hands on the stick the whole way and I could tell when he was truly scared because he became very strong at those points. You can also see the beautiful view of Denver from the chairlift as we went up. It was a great time followed by a beautiful drive in a canyon.
The boys launched Tegan's 'Mentos geyser' the other night. What a great way to use soda rather than drink it :). The reaction between the Mentos and soda is immediate so there isn't much time to get out of the way. Riley got a small soda shower. Afterwards we enjoyed our own, homemade vanilla cream soda floats with homemade ice cream as well. What a refreshing treat at the end of a hot day.
