Starting School

Tegan and Riley had their first official day of their "real" school career on Monday. Tegan was fine about going and even commented after school that "It was more fun than homeschooling, but that's probably just because it's something new and the fun will wear off soon." Riley, on the other hand, is in tears each morning and night not wanting to go. He's having a hard time being away from his brothers all day even though he has fun at school. My days seem to be spent mostly in the car now so I have some adjusting to do as well, plus, our fuel budget is probably going to need to double now. The school is quite a commute from our house and it's almost an hour round trip. Conner and I went and had lunch with them today and then Conner got to play on the playground with his brothers which they all enjoyed. Conner is having a hard time adjusting to them being gone all day. At about 11 he starts asking if it's time to pick them up and he really doesn't like going to karate alone now.

On another note...we picked up Riley and Conner from Sunday School this week (they are in the same class) and Riley walked out to show me his pretty picture that he had drawn of a giant flower under a rainbow. Then Conner pulled his picture out and showed me that he had drawn himself naked while peeing!! Of course his brothers were quite pleased with his artistry.
